Albert T. Van Huff is an attorney with over 23 years of experience as a hospitality industry professional. He provides representation and outside counsel services to restaurants, bars, nightclubs, hotels, resorts, and other entities across Texas that hold licenses or permits from the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC). His expertise encompasses a broad range of services including business entity formation, TABC liquor licensing and permitting, dram shop defense, dram shop expert witness, general and commercial liability defense (including public nuisance injunction cases brought by governmental agencies), liquor tax audit representation, TABC administrative case defense (including emergency suspension cases), criminal liquor code violation defense, multi – agency law enforcement audit and investigation defense, and Alcoholic Beverage Code compliance counseling.

Albert serves as the officer for entities holding TABC mixed beverage permits for several prestigious businesses. These include The Houstonian Hotel, Club & Spa (Houston), Hotel ZaZa in both Museum District and Memorial City in Houston, and Dallas locations, Blossom Hotel Houston Medical Center, Tru by Hilton in Rockwall, Walden Yacht Club at Lake Conroe, Lago Mar in League City, Balmoral in Humble, and Wharton Country Club in Wharton.

Albert earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Houston Law Center in 2000 and a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from the University of Houston in 1997. He also received a Certification in Commercial Beverage Management from the Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management in 2003.

Albert is licensed to practice law in the State of Texas and is admitted to several courts, including the Supreme Court of Texas; the Supreme Court of the United States; the United States Tax Court; the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals; the United States District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Western Districts of Texas; and the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas.

Albert served on active duty with the United States Marine Corps from 1990 to 1994. He is affiliated with several associations and organizations, including the Academy of Hospitality Industry Attorneys, National Association of Alcoholic Beverage Licensing Attorneys, Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals, American Mensa, and he is a life member of the National Rifle Association.
